祂平靜怒海正息洶湧潮汐,祂親自譜寫壯麗優美樂曲;
祂點亮星星閃耀幽暗天際,祂看顧保守漫漫長夜孤寂;

祂成全美夢化愁雲為朗晴,祂成全宿願化陰黧變光明;
祂非常清楚彩虹現於何處,祂非常明白地平線外何物;

    1. yes, He has a gifted voice, just like Elvis Presley. Absolutely !! the translation in Chinese is quite good. Can you quote the English lyrics for us?

    2. I found it elsewhere. Not sure if it matches the sound track in the Youtube.

      He can turn the tides and calm the angry sea
      He alone decides who writes a symphony
      He lights ev'ry star that makes the darkness bright
      He keeps watch all through each long and lonely night

      He still finds the time to hear a child's first prayer
      Saint or sinner calls and always finds him there

      Though it makes him sad to see the way we live
      He'll always say "I forgive"

      He can touch a tree and turn the leaves to gold
      He knows every lie that you and I have told
      Though it makes him sad to see the way we live
      He'll always say "I forgive"

    3. Dear Xiwei, actually the songs used for Mass are subject to free selection, except for those liturgical prayers or responses which are pre-writen, in which cases the lyrics are fixed, but the melody is still flexible.

      This song is even much more touching in Chinese, and it is especially powerful when arranged for four parts choir. Too bad that I cannot describe very well how moving it is, at least to me.

      By the way, the Chinese lyric is even more poetic than the original language. Whoever translated it is a master.
